Football Recap: Reed Comes Up Short on the Road Against Twelve Bridges + How To Watch

Reed had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a 45-31 bruising from the Twelve Bridges Raging Rhinos. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Raiders came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' football rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked tenth in Nevada, while the Raging Rhinos are ranked 124th in California).

When it comes to explaining why Reed lost, don't look at Bronwyn Rios. Despite the final result, he rushed for 102 yards and a pair of TDs, and also picked up 37 receiving yards and one touchdown. Rios was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 50 yards. Daxon Dayton was another key player, having thrown for 267 yards and onetouchdown.

Twelve Bridges' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Connor Frontiera, who threw for 254 yards and one TD, and also punched in one score on the ground. The dominant performance also gave Frontiera a new career-high in rushing yards (20). Chase Wyhlidko was another key player, gaining 119 total yards and a touchdown.

Twelve Bridges pushed their record up to 2-0 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.
