Baseball Recap: Hatley Comes Up Short

Hatley was the 10-6 winner over Nettleton when they last played one another back in March of 2025, but their luck changed this time around. Hatley fell 5-1 to Nettleton on Tuesday.

Hatley saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cooper Crenshaw, who went 1-for-2 with one run. Braden Pyron also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen bases of the season.

Hatley has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. As for Nettleton, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Hatley will challenge Shannon at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Nettleton, they will face off against West Point at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Tigers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Green Wave have averaged an impressive 6.3 runs per game this season.
