Basketball Recap: Calvary Christian Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Calvary Christian extended their winning streak to three on Thursday, bumping them up to 3-0. They strolled past the Springwood Wildcats with points to spare, taking the game 75-58. 75 seems to be a good number for the Knights as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.

Dylan Hosten was a one-man wrecking crew as he dropped a double-double with 20 points and 18 rebounds. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in field goal percentage (83%). James Cross was another key player, going 7-for-13 en route to 18 points and three steals.

As for Springwood, they moved to 3-2 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. The contest marked their lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Defeat or not, Springwood got some senior leadership from Clarence Moore and Kori Key. Moore posted 25 points, while Key had 25 points. Moore is crushing it when it comes to points: he's scored at least 16 every time he's taken the court this season.

Calvary Christian and Springwood will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the Knights see the court they'll take on Mount de Sales Academy at 7:30 p.m. on December 2. As for Springwood, their break will end when they face Ezekiel Academy at 8:00 p.m. on December 2.
