Pioneer extended their winning streak to five games thanks to a huge performance from Ella Rhyasen. The Mustangs put the hurt on the Hill Falcons with a sharp 3-0 win on Thursday for which the team can thank Rhyasen, who had 26 assists and four aces. She is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 14 or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-18, 25-12.

Pioneer's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Eva Rhyasen, who had 16 assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Madeline Carley, who had 11 digs and seven assists.

The win got Pioneer back to even at 7-7. As for Hill, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Pioneer is set to challenge their familiar foe Gunderson at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Hill will take on rival Yerba Buena at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
