Washington is 8-2 against Stevens since November of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Warriors will be playing in front of their home fans against the Raiders at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Washington is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of South Dakota's top teams: Mitchell, who was ranked 13th at the time (Washington was ranked 12th). The Warriors were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Kernels on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Kernels: they've now won nine in a row.

While Washington won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-23, 25-12.

Meanwhile, Stevens earned a 3-1 victory over Spearfish on Tuesday.

Stevens had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 24-26, 25-20, 25-12, 25-20.

Washington's win bumped their record up to 14-7. As for Stevens, their victory bumped their record up to 26-9.

Everything went Washington's way against Stevens in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, as Washington made off with a 3-0 win. Do the Warriors have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Raiders turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
