It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Latin had no problem doing just that on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 5-0 margin over the IC Catholic Prep Knights. Latin might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matchups by three goals or more this season.

Lauren Rosenberg and Beth Rosenow scored all five of Latin's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 42 goals.

Latin has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 64 goals over those 13 contests. As for IC Catholic Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 5-14-1.

Latin and IC Catholic Prep are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Romans will host Willows Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for IC Catholic Prep, they will face off against Varsity Opponent at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. IC Catholic Prep will be up against Varsity Opponent's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.48 goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
