Baseball Recap: Point Loma Comes Up Short

Point Loma fell victim to Patrick Henry and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Patriots. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Pointers were not able to get on the board.

Landon Moore was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed 4.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits.

Point Loma's defeat dropped their record down to 11-4-1. As for Patrick Henry, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-6-1 record this season.

While Point Loma had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
