Preview: Coastal Christian Centurions vs. Thales Academy Apex Titans
The Coastal Christian Centurions will head out on the road to face off against the Thales Academy Apex Titans at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. Coastal Christian will be strutting in after a victory while Thales Academy Apex will be coming in after a defeat.
Last Tuesday, Coastal Christian earned a 59-49 victory over Southeastern Christian Academy. The victory was just what Coastal Christian needed coming off of a 56-30 loss in their prior game.
Aidan Davies was his usual excellent self, scoring 31 points. The game was his fifth in a row with at least ten points. Noah Anderson was another key contributor, scoring 9 points.
Meanwhile, Thales Academy Apex unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They were outmatched by GRACE Christian at home and fell 78-40. Thales Academy Apex has struggled against GRACE Christian recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Ashley's victory bumped their season record to 0-0 while Coastal Christian's loss dropped theirs to 3-1.
Coastal Christian couldn't quite finish off Thales Academy Apex in their previous meeting back in November of 2022 and fell 69-67. Thankfully for Coastal Christian, Cannon Parker (who went 9 for 12 from beyond the arc en route to 40 points and 9 assists) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
