Basketball Recap: Molalla Has No Trouble Against Estacada

While Molalla didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-13), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They were the clear victor by a 46-26 margin over the Estacada Rangers on Tuesday. Given the Indians' advantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 107th, while the Rangers are ranked 228th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Molalla's victory bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Estacada, their loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-10.

Molalla has already played their next game (against Madras), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Estacada will square off against Gladstone at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Estacada is facing Gladstone at the right time seeing as Gladstone is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
