Football Recap: Ricky Willrich's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Lowellville over Labrae

The Lowellville Rockets came up short against the LaBrae Vikings on Friday and fell 22-13. Despite 101 more yards than the Vikings, the Rockets couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.

Several Rockets players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ricky Willrich, who threw for 251 yards and one TD on only 19 passes, and also rushed for 54 yards on only seven carries. 125 of Willrich's passing yards were hauled in by Nick Larosa.

Easton Armstrong went supernova For LaBrae., rushing for 246 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.2 yards per carry. Armstrong was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 53 yards.

Lowellville now has a losing record of 1-2. As for LaBrae, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Lowellville has already played their next contest, a 30-15 defeat against Memorial on the 12th. As for LaBrae, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 41-6 loss against Garfield on the 12th.
