Softball Game Preview: Enterprise Wildcats vs. Carroll Eagles

The Enterprise Wildcats will be taking part in a tournament against the Carroll Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Enterprise's pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so Carroll's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

On Thursday, Enterprise needed a bit of extra time to put away Dothan. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 win over the Wolves. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last seven times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Meanwhile, Carroll came up short against Eufaula on Friday and fell 10-5.

Saniya Jenkins was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-4. Another player making a difference was Sarabeth Henry, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI.

Enterprise's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-4. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Carroll, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-9-1 record this season.
