Stoneman Douglas faced Jupiter in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Eagles came out on top in a nail-biter against the Warriors, sneaking past 3-2. The Eagles are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 14 straight.

Stoneman Douglas' victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Jake Rizzo, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI. Michael Ossenfort was another, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Stoneman Douglas hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in three consecutive matchups.

Stoneman Douglas pushed their record up to 31-2 with the win, which was their 17th straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.4 runs over those games. As for Jupiter, with the loss, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 26-10.
