Softball Recap: Lee Wildcats vs. Amherst-Pelham Regional Hurricanes

The matchup between Lee and Amherst-Pelham Regional on Wednesday hardly resembled the 2-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Wildcats never let the Hurricanes get on the board and left with a 23-0 win. The high-scoring effort was just what the Wildcats needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

Brianna Lynch was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. Lynch was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with four runs, five RBI, and one double.

In other batting news, Lee got a massive performance out of Lily Brancato, who scored three runs while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. Karalynn Hopkins was another key player, scoring four runs while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.

Lee always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Amherst-Pelham Regional only posted an OBP of .118.
