Basketball Game Preview: Bell Bulldogs vs. Branford Buccaneers

The Bell Bulldogs will take on the Branford Buccaneers at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Bell is headed into the match out to prove that what happened against Taylor County on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Bell lost 56-30 to Taylor County. The loss continues a trend for Bell in their matchups with Taylor County: they've now lost five in a row.

Meanwhile, Branford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost to Bishop Snyder on the road by a 63-49 margin. While losing is never fun, the Buccaneers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 539th, while the Cardinals are ranked 211th).

Bell's loss dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Branford, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-10.

Bell was taken down by Branford 61-24 when the teams last played back in December of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Branford's Anthony Bailey, who posted 18 points in addition to five assists and three steals.
