The 6-foot-1 guard is living up to the billing and then some, averaging 17.2 points per game for a Panthers team that is 19-1 and ranked No. 18 nationally MaxPreps. See him in action in the video above.
Wagner Jr. is the son of Garden State legend Dajuan Wagner and grandson of Milt Wagner – both former Camden stars who went on to big time college programs and the NBA.
Among the front-runners for MaxPreps National Freshman of the Year honors, Wagner Jr. is coming off a season-high 27 points – including seven three-pointers – against Camden Catholic on Tuesday.

Dajuan Wagner Sr. is widely regarded as one of the greatest high school players in New Jersey history, piling up a state record 3,462 points between 1997 and 2001. As a senior, he averaged 42.5 points per game and famously scored 100 in a single game in January of 2001.
Wagner Sr. spent one year at Memphis before being drafted by the Cleveland Cavaliers with the sixth overall pick in the 2002 NBA Draft.. Health issues forced him out of the league after appearances in just 103 games over five seasons.
Milt Wagner was part of Louisville's national championship team in 1986 and also won a NBA title in 1988 in his only season with the Los Angeles Lakers.
