Baseball Recap: Eleva-Strum Find Success

Eleva-Strum lost to Whitehall back in May of 2025, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Cardinals walked away with an 8-4 victory over the Vikings. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cardinals.

Noah Martinson was a major factor no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Alex King and Michael Lahn did most of the damage at the plate: King went 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI, while Lahn got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs. Lahn has become a key player for Eleva-Strum: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 3-5 otherwise. Graeden Zwiefelhofer was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Eleva-Strum always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .516. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Whitehall only posted an OBP of .250.

Eleva-Strum's record now sits at 8-5. As for Whitehall, they moved to 6-6 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Eleva-Strum will take on rival Independence/Gilmanton at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Whitehall is set to square off against their familiar foe Melrose-Mindoro at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
