Preview: Jonesboro-Hodge Tigers vs. Many Tigers
The Jonesboro-Hodge Tigers will head out on the road to face off against the Many Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Jonesboro-Hodge is no doubt hoping to put an end to a seven-game streak of away losses.
Last Tuesday, Jonesboro-Hodge was beaten by Winnfield 76-40. Jonesboro-Hodge has struggled against Winnfield recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Many's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their sixth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 65-29 loss at the hands of Red River. While losing is never fun, Many can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 303rd, while Red River is ranked 120th).
Jonesboro-Hodge's defeat dropped their record down to 4-19. As for Many, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost 13 of their last 14 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-16 record this season.
Jonesboro-Hodge didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Many when the teams last played back in January, but they still walked away with a 43-38 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Jonesboro-Hodge since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
