After losing to Oak Hills the last time they met, Mason decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Comets came out on top against the Highlanders by a score of 24-14 on Friday. Given the Comets' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 49th, while the Highlanders are ranked 136th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The victory made it two in a row for Mason and bumps their season record up to 2-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 32.0 points over those games. As for Oak Hills, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Mason will take on rival Hamilton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Oak Hills is set to square off against their familiar foe Colerain at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
