Preview: Edison Chargers vs. Spencerville Bearcats
The Edison Chargers will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Spencerville Bearcats at 7:00 p.m. Edison will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each matchup than the last.
Edison stacked a ninth blowout onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Huron 35-7 at home.
Edison relied on the efforts of Marcus Medina, who rushed for 122 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries, and Cyrus Finnen, who rushed for 141 yards and three touchdowns. Medina was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 60 yards.
Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought match, but Spencerville had to settle for a 31-28 defeat against Jefferson on Friday. Spencerville has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Edison's victory was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 9-1. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 26 points. As for Spencerville, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7.
