Basketball Recap: De Soto Takes a Loss

After flying high against La Farge last Tuesday, De Soto came back down to earth. The De Soto Pirates took a 58-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ithaca Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 52-49 back in January.

De Soto's loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Ithaca, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.

De Soto didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 73-35 defeat against North Crawford on the 11th. As for Ithaca, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, an 84-60 loss against Kickapoo on the 11th.
