The Edna Karr Cougars just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Peabody Warhorses at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Edna Karr's tournament run continued when they took on Cecilia on Friday. Edna Karr really took it to Cecilia for the full four quarters, racking up a 51-21 win. The Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten contests by 22 points or more this season.

Sanaa Bean and Cass Antoine were among the main playmakers for Edna Karr as the former posted 15 points and the latter put up 14 points. Another player making a difference was Azelyah Henderson, who had seven points.

Meanwhile, Peabody got the win against Bunkie on Monday by a conclusive 48-27. Given the Warhorses' advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 56th, while the Panthers are ranked 217th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The victory made it two in a row for Peabody and bumps their season record up to 9-5. As for Edna Karr, their win bumped their record up to 17-1.
