Softball Recap: Ragland Takes a Loss

Ragland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 17-1 to the Munford Lions. The Purple Devils were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2015.

Ragland saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Anna Burnham, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI. That RBI marked the first that Burnham brought in this season.

Ragland's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Munford, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-1.

Coming up, Ragland is taking a road trip to face off against Ohatchee at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Munford, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Lions face off against the Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Childersburg is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.3 runs per game this season.
