Baseball Recap: Medina Valley Takes a Loss

Medina Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the United Longhorns, falling 11-5. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Longhorns this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-3 last Tuesday.

Logen Pargas was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Medina Valley is 3-1 when Pargas posts two or more runs, but 7-8 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Brody Ripps, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Medina Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 10-9. As for United, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-8.

While Medina Valley had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
