Volleyball Recap: St. Vincent Indians vs. Hermann Bearcats

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but St. Vincent had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They skirted past the Hermann Bearcats 3-2.

St. Vincent had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 14-25, 21-25, 25-19, 25-22, 15-10.

St. Vincent was led to victory by Brie Rubel and Mallory Patrick. Rubel had 19 digs, while Patrick had ten digs. Rubel is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 14 or more in the last three games she's played.

When it comes to explaining why Hermann lost, don't look at Jaelee Kahler. Despite the final result, she had four aces, three kills, and 38 assists.

St. Vincent has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 23-9-5 record this season. As for Hermann, their loss dropped their record down to 20-17.
