Basketball Recap: Pana Takes a Loss

Pana was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a 84-35 loss at the hands of the Teutopolis Wooden Shoes. The Panthers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 47-20.

When it comes to explaining why Pana lost, don't look at Ryleigh Casner. Despite the final result, she posted 13 points. Casner continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Delaney Hackler, who scored nine points.

Pana's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Teutopolis, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pana will challenge Greenville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Pana is facing Greenville at the right time seeing as Greenville is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Teutopolis, they will take on St. Joseph-Ogden at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
