Softball Recap: Highlands Comes Up Short

Highlands had lost eight straight at home, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 1-13 to make it nine. They came up short against the Vacaville Christian Falcons, falling 20-5. If the Scots were looking for revenge after losing 30-10 to the Falcons when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Vacaville Christian, their win bumped their record up to 4-8. The game marked their most dominant victory of the season.

For Vacaville Christian's part, Hazel Campbell was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run. That stolen base was Campbell's first of the season. Maddie Lindsey was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

While Highlands had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
