Palisades lost a heartbreaker the last time they played East Mecklenburg, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Friday's matchup. The Palisades Pumas were the clear victor by an 11-1 margin over the East Mecklenburg Eagles on Friday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Pumas considering their two-run performance the game before.

Micah VanFossen made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with three RBI and one triple.
