Basketball Recap: Long Beach Comes Up Short

Long Beach was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a 58-20 loss at the hands of the Biloxi Indians. The Bearcats were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 47-11.

Carnellous Lenard was the offensive standout of the contest as he went 6 of 7 en route to 13 points. Another player making a difference was Alan Ayala, who went 5 of 8 en route to 10 points and three steals.

Long Beach's defeat dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Biloxi, their win was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-2.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Long Beach Bearcats challenge the Bay Tigers at 10:30 a.m. on Friday. As for Biloxi, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Wayne County at 1:30 p.m.
