Bridgeland won the last time they faced Cypress Woods and things went their way on Thursday too. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, the Bears made off with a 35-34 win over the Wildcats. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Bears' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 204th, while the Wildcats are ranked 647th).

Kash Schwab was his usual excellent self, rushing for 232 yards and three scores while picking up 11.6 yards per carry. Those 232 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Tyler Begeal was another key player, having thrown for 256 yards and onetouchdown.

Cypress Woods lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Frank Gomez, who rushed for 83 yards and one touchdown on only six carries. Darien Rogers was another key player, throwing for 102 yards and a pair of TDs.

Bridgeland pushed their record up to 7-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 46.0 points over those games. As for Cypress Woods, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.

As of now, neither Bridgeland nor Cypress Woods have any future games scheduled.
