Basketball Recap: Colton-Pierrepont Comes Up Short

Colton-Pierrepont was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 56-41 bruising from the Tupper Lake Lumberjacks. The Colts were not able to make up for their defeat to the Lumberjacks from their previous meeting back in February of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Colton-Pierrepont lost, don't look at Cian Trimm. Despite the final result, he made all 5 shots he took to post 10 points and five rebounds. Those ten points gave Trimm a new career-high. Josh Erwin was another key player, putting up four points and three steals.

Felix Bodeewes was his usual excellent self, going 7 for 13 en route to 18 points along with five boards and five steals for Tupper Lake. Bodeewes is crushing it when it comes to points: he's scored at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashton Clark, who went 6 of 11 on his way to 15 points and eight rebounds.

Colton-Pierrepont now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Tupper Lake, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Colton-Pierrepont didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 60-38 loss against La Fargeville on the 16th. Tupper Lake has also already played their next game, a 51-38 defeat against Madrid-Waddington on the 17th.
