Baseball Recap: Seminole Victorious

Seminole let Pecos stack five runs on them in the sixth inning on Friday but luckily Seminole prevailed anyway. The Indians narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Eagles 8-6. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Indians also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2025.

Seminole let Diego Cortes and Audiel Sanchez run wild. Cortes went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run, while Sanchez went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Seminole is undefeated when Sanchez posts two or more runs, but 4-13 otherwise. Jaycen Robledo was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one double, and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Seminole kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in three consecutive contests.

Seminole's record now sits at 7-13. As for Pecos, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-15-2.

Seminole has already played their next matchup, a 4-3 loss against Fort Stockton on the 31st. As for Pecos, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 12-11 defeat against Monahans on the 31st.
