            Basketball Recap: Dooly County Bobcats vs. Hawkinsville Red Devils        
        
		
        
        
            Dooly County was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight  loss. They fell  61-49 to the Hawkinsville Red Devils. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bobcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  84-39  back in January.
  Jamonte Taylor and  Sean Sallette certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss.  Taylor  went 8 of 14  en route to 21 points and six  rebounds, while  Sallette  posted 16  points and seven  steals. That was a full 42.9% of Dooly County's points, marking the fifth time in a row he's   put up  more than a third of the team's points.
 Hawkinsville's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but  Zernard Smith led the charge by  almost  dropping  a double-double on 14  points and nine  steals. Those nine  steals gave  Smith a new career-high.  Martin Mcdonald was another key player,  going 6 for 11  to rack up 16 points in addition to seven  boards and four  steals.
Dooly County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-19. As for Hawkinsville, they now  have a winning record of 12-11.
 Dooly County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next  matchup,  an  80-61  loss against Wheeler County on the 8th. As for Hawkinsville, they have also  already played their next contest,  a  75-66  victory against Montgomery County on the 8th.
