Softball Game Preview: Pacific Pirates vs. San Bernardino Cardinals

Pacific hasn't had much luck against San Bernardino recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Pirates are taking a road trip to face off against the Cardinals at 3:45 p.m. Pacific has given up an average of 15.4 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Pacific took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They walked away with a 15-11 victory over Indian Springs. The Pirates' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

San Bernardino played against Entrepreneur on Monday and won via forfeit.

San Bernardino has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.4 runs over those games. Pacific's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-6.

Pacific suffered a grim 11-3 defeat to San Bernardino in their previous matchup back in April. Can the Pirates avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
