Football Recap: Hilton Head Prep Comes Up Short + How To Watch

While it was all tied up 0-0 at halftime, Hilton Head Prep was not quite John Paul II's equal in the second half on Friday. They took a 17-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Golden Warrriors. The Dolphins haven't had much luck with the Golden Warrriors recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead John Paul II to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jadon Inabinett, who rushed for 102 yards and one score. Inabinett is becoming a predictor of the Golden Warrriors' success: when he posts at least 80 rushing yards the team is 3-1 (and 1-2 when he doesn't). Alan Wolf was another key player, rushing for 64 yards and one touchdown on only nine carries.

Hilton Head Prep's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for John Paul II, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-3.

Coming up, Hilton Head Prep will face off against St. John's Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Dolphins will be up against the Cavaliers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 50 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for John Paul II, they will square off against Thomas Heyward Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
