Volleyball Recap: Meridian Takes a Loss

Meridian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Oak Grove Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on September 2nd.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-6, 25-9.

Meridian's defeat dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Oak Grove, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-13.

Meridian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Kemper County on the 22nd. As for Oak Grove, they will take on Presbyterian Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
