Soccer Recap: Katy Takes a Loss

Katy managed to keep up with Tompkins until halftime on Wednesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Katy Tigers lost 6-1 to the Tompkins Falcons. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 6-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Their goal came courtesy of Anthony Ayodele, who's now up to three this season.

Katy's loss dropped their record down to 7-7-2. As for Tompkins, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-4-2.

Katy is taking a road trip to face off against Mayde Creek at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Tompkins, they will take on Katy Taylor at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Katy Taylor's last three games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
