Soccer Recap: Sumter Comes Up Short

Sumter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 8-0 to the West Florence Knights. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against West Florence this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-0 back in March.

Sumter's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for West Florence, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-7 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sumter will face off against Andrew Jackson at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for West Florence, they will square off against Blythewood at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. West Florence's defense better be ready for this one: Blythewood have averaged an impressive 4.3 goals per game this season.
