Softball Game Preview: Darrington Loggers vs. Lake Quinault Elks

The Darrington Loggers will challenge the Lake Quinault Elks at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Darrington will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.

Darrington barely beat Friday Harbor the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Loggers were the clear victors by a 15-7 margin over the Wolverines on Thursday. The Loggers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matches by six runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, Lake Quinault was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 26-11 to Wishkah Valley. Even if the Elks couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

Darrington's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Lake Quinault, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.
