Volleyball Recap: Germantown Academy Wins Going Away Against Shipley

Germantown Academy won the last time they faced Shipley and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Patriots put the hurt on Shipley with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Patriots.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Germantown Academy was: they took every set by at least 12 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-7, 25-13, 25-12.

Germantown Academy can attribute much of their success to Bridget Flannery, who had nine digs and two aces. That's the most aces Flannery has posted over her last five matchups.

Flannery wasn't the only good servers: Germantown Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 18 consecutive matches.
