Basketball Recap: Northport Takes a Loss

Northport lost against Walt Whitman back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Northport Tigers took a 53-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Walt Whitman Wildcats. That's two games in a row now that the Tigers have lost by exactly nine points.

Northport's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Walt Whitman, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season.

Northport does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Walt Whitman, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Walt Whitman Wildcats face off against the Longwood Lions at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Walt Whitman is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.
