Eastmark is a perfect 4-0 against Combs since March of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Firebirds will welcome the Coyotes at 6:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Eastmark has six straight victories, Combs has six straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Eastmark's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They blew past ALA - Gilbert North 12-0. Considering the Firebirds have won nine games by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Mia Migliaccio made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 15 over five innings pitched. Those 15 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple and two RBI.
In other batting news, Bella Gomez was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted over her last 12 contests. Andrea Fletcher was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
Eastmark was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .458. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .304 or higher in nine consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Combs came up short against ALA - Queen Creek on Thursday, falling 16-1.
Combs saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Elliana Snyder, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run.
Combs' defeat dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Eastmark, their win bumped their record up to 14-6.
Combs' pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Eastmark has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9 hits per game. It's a different story for Combs, though, as they've been averaging 10.6 hits. Given Eastmark's sizable advantage in that area, the Coyotes will need to find a way to close that gap.
Eastmark took their victory against Combs in their previous matchup back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 19-0 score. Will the Firebirds repeat their success, or do the Coyotes have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
