Basketball Recap: Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Rae Napierski and Hayden Wolfe

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk can now relate to. They fell to the Cohoes Tigers 47-41. The Indians just can't catch a break and have now endured five losses in a row.

Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk's loss on Monday came despite strong showings from Hayden Wolfe and Rae Napierski. Wolfe en route to 17 points along with five rebounds and three steals, while Napierski posted 12 points and six boards. Those 17 points gave Wolfe a new career-high.

Even though they lost, Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. This was only their 13th loss (out of 17 games) when they hit their own glass that hard.

Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk's defeat dropped their record down to 4-17. As for Cohoes, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-15.

Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cohoes, they will venture away from home to take on Albany Academy for Girls at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Albany Academy for Girls' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last nine games.
