Volleyball Game Preview: Clarkstown South Vikings vs. Mount Academy Eagles

The Clarkstown South Vikings will be taking part in a tournament against the Mount Academy Eagles at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.

Clarkstown South will head out to face Mount Academy after giving up their first home loss of the season on Saturday. The Vikings took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of John Jay.

While Clarkstown South ultimately came up short, they really made John Jay work, particularly in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 23-25, 26-24, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Mount Academy faced John Jay in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Eagles walked away with a 2-0 win over the Patriots. Winning may never get old, but the Eagles sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

Mount Academy's victory bumped their record up to 27-3-2. As for Clarkstown South, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-7-1.

Clarkstown South couldn't quite get it done against Mount Academy in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 as they fell 2-0. Can the Vikings avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
