The Galion Tigers suffered their biggest defeat since December 22, 2023 on Thursday. They suffered a tough 49-24 loss at the hands of Highland. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Galion has suffered against Highland since December 23, 2020.
Highland's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Aubree Bellamy led the charge by scoring ten points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Bellamy has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryleigh Young, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds.
Galion has been struggling recently, as they've lost ten of their last 12 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-14 record this season. As for Highland, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-9.
Galion will face off against Bucyrus at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Highland, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against River Valley at 2:15 p.m. River Valley is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
