Basketball Recap: Council Takes a Loss

If Council was feeling good fresh off their 71-18 takedown of Lighthouse Christian last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Council Lumberjacks fell just short of the Garden Valley Wolverines by a score of 45-43 on Wednesday. The Lumberjacks haven't had much luck with the Wolverines recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Council's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Garden Valley, they pushed their record up to 4-1 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Council will be home for the holidays to greet Watersprings at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Garden Valley, they are taking a road trip to face off against Butte County at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
