Basketball Game Preview: East View Patriots vs. Georgetown Eagles

East View hasn't had much luck against Georgetown recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The East View Patriots will square off against the Georgetown Eagles at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in East View's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four contests.

On Tuesday, East View needed a bit of extra time to put away Weiss. They secured a 72-67 W over the Wolves. Given the Patriots' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 129th, while the Wolves are ranked 485th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, after a string of seven wins, Georgetown's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 62-54 to Pflugerville Connally.

Georgetown's defeat dropped their record down to 18-9. As for East View, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 14 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season.

East View came up short against Georgetown in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, falling 65-57. Can East View avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
