Softball Recap: Sparta Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Sparta hadn't done well against Chester recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Bulldogs came out on top against the Yellowjackets by a score of 7-3. This was a revenge game for the Bulldogs: when they faced off against the Yellowjackets on Tuesday, they had to take a 6-3 defeat.

Sparta got a massive performance out of Emma Stork, who went 2-for-3 with one home run. The team also got some help courtesy of Alexis Tadlock, who went 2-for-4 with two triples and one RBI.

Sparta moved to 7-11 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Chester, their loss dropped their record down to 13-5.

Sparta has already played their next game (against Valmeyer), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Chester, they will welcome Waterloo at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Yellowjackets surely won't give up without a fight.
