Baseball Game Preview: University Cougars vs. Ocoee Knights

The University Cougars will venture away from home to square off against the Ocoee Knights at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

University is headed into Friday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their eighth straight games dating back to last season on Monday. They lost 7-0 to Timber Creek.

Meanwhile, Ocoee came up short against Edgewater on Wednesday, falling 13-3.

Ocoee saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Serico Allen, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double. Aiden Mojica was another, going 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

University's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Ocoee, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

University couldn't quite get it done against Ocoee in their previous meeting back in February of 2025 as they fell 5-2. Can the Cougars avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
