Softball Preview: Bloomfield Cardinals vs. North Daviess Cougars
The Bloomfield Cardinals will head out to take on the North Daviess Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Bloomfield will bounce into Wednesday's matchup after beating Linton-Stockton, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Cardinals won by a run and slipped past the Miners 5-4. Lila Koontz made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed three innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off two hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances.
