            Softball Recap: Franklin County Wildcats vs. Rushville Lions        
        
		
        
        
            Franklin County was handed a heart-breaking two-run  defeat in their last  game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Rushville  on Tuesday. The Wildcats blew past the Lions 14-0. The  win continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won three in a row.

 Isabella Stenger made a splash while hitting and pitching. She  didn't allow a single  earned run over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in 14 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box,  going 2-for-3 with two  RBI and one  double. Those  two  RBI gave  her a new career-high.
 In other batting news,  Brooke Stang was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with one  home run, three  runs,  and one  stolen base. Another player making a difference was  Bailey Kaiser, who  went 3-for-4 with five  RBI, two  doubles,  and one  run.
 Franklin County  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .645. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Rushville only posted  an  OBP of  .286.
Franklin County now  has a winning record of 10-9. As for Rushville,  they are  on  a  five-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 4-14.
 Franklin County wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next  contest,  a  25-0  victory against South Dearborn on the 15th. As for Rushville, they will welcome Beech Grove  at 5:30  p.m.  on Friday. The Lions' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Hornets have averaged an impressive 8.3  runs per game this season.
